TOLTEC PRINCIPLES OF AGREEMENT
The Nagual masters who transmitted and embodied this knowledge were Toltecs, ancestors of the ancient Aztec city of pyramids in Mexico.
When we relate to each other, there are 4 principles of agreement :
ONE
— Always speak the truth. Be impeccable with one’s word.
Know that some words heal, others harm. Words can destroy by engendering fear and suspicion. Words can transform life into beauty, love, harmony. Words are the drivers of most of our acts. Therefore, use words impeccably.
Two
— Whatever happens, don’t make it personal.
Maintain one’s honor and the honor of others. Be clear and self-confident. We are small in the great scope of things. Keep our eyes directed to the larger vision.
Three
— Don’t try to guess.
Speak only from what we know to be true from our own life experiences. Then others will not be harmed by our words.
four
— Always do our best.
We don’t have to succeed. We just need to do our best. Then our minds and hearts remain clear.
